In a recent survey conducted by Money magazine, 33% of the participants stated that they feel they will achieve their goal of paying off debt in 2008. Many of them thought that they would have better than even odds of accomplishing all of their financial goals for 2008 for that matter. In fact, 9 out of 10 people polled feel this way.
Although goals are a good start, a little over half of those polled think that limited financial resources won’t allow them to accomplish their money goals. One thing is for sure however, whether you want pay down debt, build an emergency fund, or save for retirement, be sure that you automate it. It will make reaching your financial goals much easier and increase your odds of success.
